I’ll be photographing music festivals over the summer: we had a grand kickoff
at Trance Energy. Possibly one of the most depressing festivals ever, it was
pretty much like walking around in a huge, dark gym, with most people on xtc.

I had the pleasure of photographing Pinkpop, the music festival. This is me
with music journalist Arne van Terphoven. Together we are creating the book
Het Festivalgevoel (which can roughly be translated as The Festival Feeling).
With 60.000 visitors everyday for three days, it was the busiest edition of
Pinkpop so far. 130.000 people going insane in hot spring weather [...]
