I had dinner at Eénvistweevis, a cute little fish restaurant here in
downtown Amsterdam. It’s a bit pricey, but well worth it.
Our starter was marinated fennel with baby squid and cilantro, which was amazing,
just like this gorgeous lemon/rosemary/thyme stuffed sea bass.

I finally finished my Mario scarf! It took me a traumatic four years.
Once, after about a year and a half, I finished the whole thing. I was so happy.
But not even a week after finishing it, I managed to leave it on a train. I was inconsolable.

Driving though Scotland with Freddy, we found the most depressing arcade imaginable.
We managed to have some actual fun here, despite the efforts of the good people of pleasureland.

From the food archives: a simple and classic dish, but worth posting since these were the best I’ve ever had.
Of course, the bananas in Rio are many times more flavorful than the ones you find in Holland,
and they were fried to crispy perfection. Awesome!

Heidi was once the wife of a cruise ship captain. Now, her son manages one of Europe’s largest cruise ships.
Heidi enjoys traveling to sunny, faraway places and competitive ballroom dancing and owns a beautiful home,
decorated in cruise ship style down to the last detail.

After a long night of staring into thick, dark bush, looking for deer and mouflon, we drove back to the cottage to a hunter’s anthem.

It’s evil food (so bad for you), but it’s love food at the same time (so, so good).
Caramel ginger coated chicken wings with sticky rice and an orange shiitake salad with an orange-ginger-sesame dressing.
Guaranteed to win hearts over.
